Dublin is a place valued for its historical significance, the picturesque Georgian buildings and most importantly the craic! No matter where you are in the city, you’ll find a great selection of bars, pubs and venues, complete with live music and pints of The Black Stuff. The fact that Dublin is a compact, walkable city and the friendly vibe from the native Irish make Dublin an excellent place to come alone.
DCU is delighted to announce that our sustainability drive, announced in March 2018 is on track; DCU will become Irelands first plastic-free campus by 2020! While being environmentally friendly is not a new concept for us, we have taken huge steps to ensure that our campus is as sustainable as possible with the elimination of takeaway coffee cups, single-use plastic takeaway containers, takeaway cutlery, straws and single-use plastic bags.

While we are not surprised that our high-standard, affordable accommodation in Dublin has been recognized by the leading tourist body in Ireland, we are delighted to contribute to the Irish economy in this way.
